छि भाजु झाइला धकाः सुथ न्हापां म्वल ल्हुयाः
क्वलं बुयाः, अजः उलाः, सिन्हः तिनाः समाः याना ।

छि भाजु झाइला धकाः ज्वाँय् ज्वाँय् तिसां तिया
वसन्तया क्यबचाथें स्वां जुयाः ह्वयाच्वना ।

छि भाजु झाइला धकाः गुनकेरा छ्यनय् छुना
नस्वाः चिकनं बुयाः पियाच्वना छितः भाजु ।

झाये धाःम्ह झाःगु मखु, इल घःचाः दिउगु मखु
हाय् नुगल मछिनाः मिखाय् ख्वबि दिउगु मखु ।

Meaning in English:

Thinking that you, my dear, would come, I took bath in early morning,
applied lotion, eye-liner, bindi and put make-up on.

Thinking that you, my dear, will come, I wore all glittering jewelry
And like a garden in the Spring, I flourished, being a flower myself

Thinking that you, my dear, will come, I put flower of narcissus on my head
And applied fragrance oil and waited for you my dear.

You promised to come but did not, and wheel of time did not stop
Oh, this pain in my heart, and tears in my eyes just did not cease.
